Gen. Sam Houston Folk Festival

Held annually since 1988, the General Sam Houston Folk Festival celebrates Texas history and the life of Sam Houston, the man who served as commander-in-chief, president and, later, governor of Texas. The event features live music, re-enactments, food vendors and more and attracts over 18,000 people to the festival grounds. This year's event is set for April 21-23.
