South Padre Island Music Festival

Back for its second year, the South Padre Island Music Festival is set to take place Oct. 31 - Nov. 2. This year's South Padre Music Festival will feature 30 bands playing on the Island over a three-day period. Among the bands and musicians slated to play at the 2008 South Padre Music Festival are Willie Nelson, Blue Oyster Cult, Los Lonely Boys, Del Castillo, and Foghat, among others. Performances will be at at various venues throughout South Padre Island, including Schlitterbahn, Louie's Backyard, Amberjack's, Wanna Wanna Beach Bar, Pelican West, Texas Moon, Palm St. Pier and Pelican Inn. The South Padre Music Festival donates a portion of the prodeeds to Sea Turtle Inc and the Surfrider Foundation.
