2008 Terlingua International Chili Cookoff

Held the first Saturday of November, the Terlingua International Chili Championship is the "grandaddy" of all chili cookoffs. This CASI sanctioned event is actually a four day festival that culminates with the chili cookoff on Saturday. This year's chili cookoff is set for Nov. 1. The festival opens Wednesday, Oct. 29. There will be live entertainment nightly beginning Thursday, Oct. 30. During Saturday's cookoff, cooks from across the nation, each of whom had to qualify via other CASI sanctioned events, will be vying for the coveted TICC Championship trophy.
