If one is going to travel to Marfa for the Jazz festival I recommend a short trip over to Fort Davis, where the McDonald Observatory is. This was a litle gem of a town that my children and I discovered these past couple of years. Also within 45 minutes of this town is a large natural spring in Balmorreah (spelling?) that is about 72 degrees year around. Little gems in the state.
