About Armand Bayou Nature Center:
Located just southeast of Houston, the Armand Bayou Nature Center is 2,500 acres of prime habitat for birds, frogs, turtles and even deer and bison. An extensive boardwalk system allows you to walk through the swamp without getting your feet wet. An observation deck helps you see birds of prey, such as hawks, osprey and kites. The staff offers guided canoe and pontoon boat trips on the bayou. The once-a-month Owl Prowl is held when the moon is full so you have a better chance of spotting these stealthy creatures.
