Billy Bob's Texas is the most famous institution at the Fort Worth Stockyards, a National Historic District. Originally built as an open-air cattle barn, Billy Bob's now has a roof and can hold 6,000 people in its 127,000 square feet of space. Major country music acts perform here regularly. Museums in the entertainment complex include the Stockyard Museum, the Texas Cowboy Hall of Fame, and the Texas Rodeo Cowboy Hall of Fame. For the kids, there are twice-daily cattle drives and a petting zoo.
