About Jim Bowie Days:
During the final weekend of June, the town of Bowie holds Jim Bowie Days to celebrate the town's namesake, the legendary Jim Bowie. Although Jim Bowie Days is billed as a single festival, it is actually comprised of several different events and activities. A bass fishing tournament, rodeo, queen contest, parade, antique car show, live Blue Grass music, and Chuck Wagon cookoff are just some of the activities attendees can partake in.
Where Jim Bowie Days is Held:
The events associated with Jim Bowie Days are held in or around the town of Bowie. The bass fishing tournament is held on Amon Carter Lake. The car show is held at Pelham Park. The parade begins near Bowie Jr High and winds its way through town. Many of other activities are held on the rodeo grounds.
