However, despite the excellent food, it is the location and ambience that makes the Corpus Christi Landry's Seafood House stand out. Set on a refurbished passenger barge, the restaurant is charming and quaint and offers an unparalleled view of Corpus Christi Bay.
The location is also convenient for an 'after dinner stroll' through the marina, where moored sailboats and yachts make for great sight-seeing. One word of caution, the restaurant does sway gently on its mooring during especially violent weather. If you are prone to seasickness, you may wish to wait for calmer conditions.
Overall, for both food and location, Corpus Christi's Landry's Seafood House ranks with the best of the Gulf Coast's seafood restaurants. Dining there should be considered a 'must-do' for visitors to the 'Sparkling City by the Bay.'
