Popular Annual Event Runs October 11 Through Nov. 30

Although the Texas Renaissance Festival is mostly thought of as an ‘October event,’ it actually runs through most of the month of November as well. In fact, this year this acclaimed renaissance themed park north of Houston will open October 11 and won't close until November 30.

Part of this year’s Renaissance Festival is their eight themed weekends. Themes include Oktoberfest, 1001 Dreams, Pirate Adventures, All Hallows Eve, Highland Fling, Barbarian Invasion and Celtic Christmas.

Besides the themed weekend, the Texas Renaissance Festival features over 200 daily performances, 300 arts and crafts shops, 60 food and beverage shops, nightly fireworks and more than 3,000 costumed characters strolling the grounds. Texas visitors shouldn't miss an opportunity to attend this unique, eight-week theme park before the 2008 edition wraps up November 30.
