George Ranch Historical Park Overview:
Located just outside of Richmond, southwest of Houston, the George Ranch Historical Park is a living history exhibit that aims to educate the public about Texas history situated on the site of a former working ranch.What to Do at the George Ranch Historical Park:
Visitors to the 23,000 acre George Ranch Historical Park are treated to a scene straight out of the past. Several 1800s-era buildings, homes and stock areas are situated on the property - all of which are utilized by the living history cast. Individual and group tours are available. Throughout the property, staff members are available for explanations and demonstrations.George Ranch Historical Park Visitor Information:
The George Ranch Historical Park is open Tuesday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The Park is closed New Year's Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. Visitors are advised to budget 3 to 4 hours of time to fully tour the Park.
