Ft. Griffin Fandangle Overview:
Albany's Fort Griffin Fandangle is the oldest outdoor theatrical performance in Texas. The performance celebrates Texas' history and includes 300 townspeople, longhorn cattle, a stagecoach, train, Indians, cowboys, soldiers and more. Held each year during the last two full weekends of June.
About the Ft Griffin Fandangle:
Billed as "Texas' Oldest Outdoor Musical," the Ft Griffin Fandangle debuted in 1938. The musical production depicts the history of the Albany area and is attended by more than 10,000 people on an annual basis.
Where the Ft Griffin Fandangle is Held:
The Ft Griffin Fandangle is held at Prairie Theatre, just outside Albany. Albany is located about 35 miles northeast of Abilene.
