Fossil Rim Wildlife Center Overview:

This 1,700-acre wildlife center, located in Glen Rose, is dedicated to preserving and protecting endangered and threatened species. Visitors can view over 1,000 animals from their own car or on guided tours.

What to Do at Fossil Rim Wildlife Center:

Accredited by the American Zoo and Aquarium Association, Fossil Rim Wildlife Center features more than a dozen exotic big game species. Visitors are able to take part in a number of guided tours or can opt to do a drive through tour on their own. The Children's Center is always a popular stop for families, as are the Overlook Cafe and Nature Store. Overnight lodging and other accommodations are also available at Fossil Rim Wildlife Center.

Fossil Rim Wildlife Center is located at 2299 County Road 2008 outside Glen Rose. Hours vary by season, but Fossil Rim Wildlife Center is open 7 days per week except for the following holidays: Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.
