Sea Center Texas Overview:
Located in Lake Jackson, Texas Parks and Wildlife Department's Seacenter Texas serves as a marine hatchery, museum and aquarium all in one.
What to Do at Sea Center Texas:
Sea Center Texas features an outdoor wetlands area, as well as several aquariums contained within the Visitor Center. Among the themed aquariums are the Gulf of Mexico aquarium, jetty aquarium, artificial reef aquarium, salt marsh aquarium, and coastal bay aquarium. The Visitor Center also has a touch tank and video programs. Visitors can go on self-guided tours of the Visitor Center and wetlands area. Sea Center Texas also offers guided tours of the Visitor Center aquariums as well as the hatchery area.
Sea Center Texas Visitor Information:
Admission to Sea Center Texas is free, but donations are accepted. Sea Center Texas is open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday and from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday. Sea Center Texas is located at 300 Medical Drive in Lake Jackson. For more information, call (979) 292-0100.
