The lake itself offers plenty of opportunities for boaters, water skiers, swimmers and fishermen. It is also an excellent lake for paddlers, as it is laid out in a user-friendly design and affords numerous opportunities to view wildlife. There is a two-lane boat ramp, as well as a fishing pier on the eastern shore of Lake Casa Blanca.
Onshore, birding is a popular activity. Hiking, camping, picnicking, and mountain bikes are other popular pastimes, as the park features numerous campsites, two miles of mountain biking trails and numerous walking and hiking trails. Lake Casa Blanca State Park also features both enclosed and open picnic sites.
Wildlife is abundant at Lake Casa Blanca International State Park, despite its somewhat urban location. Whitetail deer, javelina, rabbits, ground squirrels and a variety of bird species are commonly spotted by park visitors.
There is also an abundance of sports-related activities available at the park. A baseball field, tennis courts, and outdoor volleyball and basketball courts are onsite.
Lake Casa Blanca International State Park is open 7 days a week. Entry fee is $4 per person (over 13) per day. Overnight campsites, recreation hall, enclosed picnic areas and amphitheatre are available for additional fees.
