Colorado City Overview:
Located at the base of the Texas Panhandle, Colorado City offers visitors a variety of activities, including antique shopping, museums, Lake Colorado City State Park, and more.
Colorado City History:
Colorado City dates back to the 1870s. However, the area was sparsely inhabited before railroad came in 1881. That set the stage for expansion of Colorado City. However, the township remains somewhat modest in size today.

Colorado City Attractions:
Lake Colorado City State Park is a popular stop for fishermen and watersport enthusiasts. Railhead Trade Days, which is staged three times per year, is quite popular among tourist. The Heart of West Texas Museum, which details the area's natural history, is a must-see attraction.
