What is the best time to visit Texas?

Question: What is the best time to visit Texas?

Texas has a lot to offer visitors. From outdoor activities to indoor attractions, the Lone Star State is brimming with things to see and do. But, what is the best time to visit Texas in order to get the most out of your vacation?

Answer: Texas truly has something to offer visitors all year long. Every season has its 'signature' event or activity. Spring sees birding, flower trails, fishing, and, of course, spring break. Summer is a great time for all types of water sports, visiting theme parks, going to the beach and a variety of other vacation activities. Winter has holiday activities and, depending on where you live, a reprieve from the cold weather 'back home.'

However, the one season that stands out is fall. During early fall, the sometime oppressive heat of summer is gone, making outdoor activities much more pleasant. And, though fall finds cooler weather in Texas, the temperature is still warm enough to allow most any type of outdoor activity. Fishing, hunting, camping, birding and even water sport activities are viable fall vacation options.

There are also a number of events and festivals held across the state of Texas during the fall season. Additionally, the cooler fall weather makes sight-seeing a joy. And, don't underestimate the advantage of reduced tourist traffic. Visitors are able to move more freely and see and do much more during the relatively slow fall tourist season.
