Houston Area Sports & Recreation

Every major sport and several minor ones have teams based in Houston. In addition, the Space City is home to the annual Houston Marathon and a wide variety of other professional and amateur athletic events.

Texas Bowl
Now in its fourth season, the Texas Bowl is well on its way to developing a proud college postseason event in Houston. Held in Reliant Stadium, the Texas Bowl is scheduled for Dec. 31.

Houston Boat Show
Held during the first two weeks of January each year, the Houston International Boat Show is the largest and longest-running boat show in Texas. The event, which fills the Reliant Center, runs for 10 days and draws over 150,000 visitors annually
