Texas Fried Fish Recipe

From freshwater catfish to saltwater flounder, Texans love their fish fried. You can't go wrong with this basic recipe.
Prep Time: 10 minutes
Cook Time: 5 minutes
Ingredients:
  • 2 pounds fish
  • 2 tablespoons yellow mustard
  • 2 tablespoons Tabasco
  • 2 cups cornmeal
  • 2 teaspoons black pepper
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • cooking oil
Preparation:
Mix mustard and Tabasco in large bowl. Cut fish into 2-inch cubes, place in large bowl. Roll fish in mustard/Tabasco mixture. Mix cornmeal, pepper and salt in seperate bowl. Roll fish in cornmeal mix. Cook in 350 degree oil until brown. Drain on paper towels to remove excess oil.
