Texas Pecan Pie Recipe

Texas is well-known for its vast pecan groves - after all, the native pecan is the official 'state nut.' Like many folks in southern states, Texans also love dishes made from pecans. And, of all the dishes featuring pecans, pecan pie is far and away the favorite.
Prep Time: 30 minutes
Cook Time: 1 hour, 00 minutes
Ingredients:
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 tbsp melted margarine
  • 3 tbsps flour
  • 1 cup molasses
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 2 cups pecan halves
  • 2 9-inch unbaked pie shells
Preparation:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Beat eggs in large mixing bowl. Slowly beat sugar, margarine and flour into eggs. Beat in molasses and vanilla. Stir in pecans. Pour equal amounts into each pie shell. Bake for 1 hour.
