By Danno Wise, About.com

Question: What is Texas' most popular holiday parade?

Texas is home to several of the nation's largest cities. Each of these major metropolitans, as well a dozens of smaller cities, stage holiday parades on an annual basis. So, what is Texas' most popular holiday parade?

Answer: Between Thanksgiving and New Year's a number of impressive holiday parades are staged across Texas. The Ft. Worth Parade of Lights, Chuy's Christmas Parade in Austin and the Sun Bowl Parade out in El Paso are all impressive and worthy of attending. Houston's HEB Holiday Parade, which is held on Thanksgiving Day, is impressive as well and a solid second in Texas' holiday parade pecking order. However, the top Texas holiday parade has to be the Neiman-Marcus/Adolphus Children's Parade in Dallas. A Dallas holiday tradition for close to 20 years, the Neiman-Marcus/Adolphus Children’s Parade not only kicks off the holiday season in the Big D, it is a major fundraiser for the Children’s Medical Center in Dallas.
