About the Texas Zoo:
Located in Victoria, the Texas Zoo is dedicated to the "conservation of Texas fauna and flora" and has numerous displays showcasing native Texas wildlife. The Texas Zoo opened in 1976 and was named the "National Zoo of Texas" by the Texas State Legislature in 1984. Although the Texas Zoo features animals from across the world, its focus is on species native to Texas.

The Texas Zoo is located inside Riverside Park, 110 Memorial Drive, in Victoria. The Texas Zoo is open 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. every day, with the exception of Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and New Year's Day.
