Garner State Park Overview:

Located on the Frio River in Concan, Garner State Park is one of Texas' most popular summer getaways. Whether it's swimming, fishing, paddling, or tubing, most visitors to Garner find a way to get on or in the water.

About Garner State Park:

Encompassing just over 1,400 acres - including 10 acres of river frontage along the Frio River, Garner State Park is one of the most popular summer destinations for Texans and visitors to Texas alike. Hands down, the river is the draw. The park is a great spot for swimming, fishing, canoeing, kayaking, tubing, snorkeling or just cooling off. Aside from the river, Garner State Park offers hiking, birding and nature watching. The majority of visitors to Garner State Park stay overnight, either in rental cabins or in tent camping sites.

Garner State Park Visitor Information:

Garner State Park is located on Park Road 29, 8 miles north of Concan. The park is open 7 days a week, although during the busy season it often reaches maximum capacity and has to close early. In those instances, the park will reopen as soon as the capacity falls below the maximum limit - even if it is within the same day.
